13th KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL Security, Fire Protection, Information Technologies EXHIBITION

KAZAKHSTAN WILL PURCHASE FIRE FIGHTING DRONES AND SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE CONTROL

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations plans to purchase two drones designed for fire fighting, said the head of the agency, Chingiz Arinov.

As noted by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, such drones are necessary for fighting fires in high-rise buildings.

Arinov also reported at a government meeting that this year it is planned to acquire 728 units of specialized equipment, as well as more than 18,000 units of other equipment and gear. The procurement will be financed from the republican and local budgets, as well as through leasing. The equipment will primarily be directed to the needs of regional units.

In addition, the minister spoke about a pilot project implemented in the Akmola region, where a universal unit consisting of firefighters, medics, and rescuers has been created.

According to him, the approach to building fire stations has been reconsidered. For example, since August, a fire station built in 3.5 months using rapid construction technologies has been operating in Astana. This construction method is planned to be implemented nationwide, as Kazakhstan needs 121 fire depots.
