The Kazakh army will focus efforts on the development of military transport and unmanned aviation, the training of Special Operations Forces, as well as electronic warfare, air defense, and cybersecurity units, said Deputy Minister of Defense Shaykh-Khasan Zhazykbaev at a briefing for military diplomats, the Ministry of Defense's press service reports.
Among the priorities for international cooperation for Kazakhstan's Armed Forces in 2025, he mentioned combat, peacekeeping, language training, improving the interaction of collective security forces and means, and sharing experiences in the field of military education.
Major General Shaykh-Khasan Zhazykbaev also noted the expansion of Kazakhstan's military participation in peacekeeping operations.
"The geography of Kazakhstan's peacekeepers in UN missions has expanded to six: in Africa and the Middle East (Western Sahara, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lebanon, Golan Heights (Syria), Israel – Palestine)," he specified.
The event was attended by representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited in Kazakhstan, as well as officials from the ministries of defense, industry, and construction.
